As more network streaming content providers are moving toward wireless dongles that can plug into a TV's HDMI port, providing such a feature on a multimedia projector is very desirable. Even more so, as projectors of this type tend to be used in schools or businesses where theft of such a dongle could easily occur, having a hidden port is even more important.
The Viewsonic PJD6350 provides such a solution in a reasonably priced, high brightness XGA projector. Combined with network control capability, 3D Blu-ray capability and a built-in 10-watt speaker using Viewsonic's SonicExpert technology, you get some great features that offset the PJD6350's slightly higher than normal price for an XGA projector. Add the longer-than-normal lamp life to the equation (5000, 6000 or 8000 hours depending on lamp mode) and you have a very low cost of ownership.
We wish to thank Epson America for sponsoring this year's Best Classroom Projectors report, in which this projector is considered.
