VAVA 4K UHD Laser TV Review - Calibration Settings: HDR

HDR

The VA-LT002 has an HDR switch that must be toggled on or off depending on the type of content being viewed. When in HDR mode and using the SDR white balance settings the projector produced a slightly bluish-white grayscale. The EOTF tracked darker than the reference ST2084 and covered 83% of the P3 color space.

This is the ST2084 EOTF HDR performance or the projector. The yellow line is the target and the grey line represents the projector. In this case the HDR performance is darker than reference.
In this graph the squares represent the targets for white and each color in the P3 color space at 50% saturation. The dots represent the projector’s performance.
hese graphs represent the projector’s ability to recreate the P3 color space in both CIE 1931 and CIE 1976. The projector covers 82.19% to 83.8% of P3 respectively.

This graph shows how linear the projector tracks from no color (white) to 100% saturation of each color. The squares represent 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100% saturation for each color. Ideally each dot would land in the corresponding target.
