The guides are designed to help you navigate the holiday season by highlighting projectors from ViewSonic, Epson, LG and Sony. Now, without further adieu, let’s get into what you can expect from each guide.

Making a reappearance from last year’s guides, we have the Epson Home Cinema 2100 and Home Cinema 2150 projectors – the two projectors that have replaced the popular HC2040 and 2045, and both offer an excellent value proposition!

The Sony VPL-HW45ES, our only Sony in the Under $2000 Guide, is an older model that is still totally relevant. It’s 1080p with phenomenal color and is suitable for gamers! The final projector in the Guide is the new Epson Home Cinema 4010, which has Epson’s new and improved pixel shifting technology.

Our 2018 Holiday Guide to Four Great Home Theater Projectors Over $2000 features projectors from Epson, LG and Sony. This year, two of Epson’s projectors made it into the Over $2000 Holiday Guide.

The first is the Epson Pro Cinema 4050, which is essentially the same as the HC4010, only it comes with extras like a spare lamp and ceiling mount. The second is the ever-popular and excellent value Epson Home Cinema 5040UB, which has some of the best black levels south of $5000.

LG’s award-winning HU80KA is also featured in our Over $2000 Guide, and is our most innovative projector included in either Guide this year. In fact, it won our Most Innovative Award in our 2018 Best Home Theater Projectors Report earlier this year. This versatile portable projector is perfect for any mancave or outdoor movie night.

The final projector included in the Guide is the Sony VPL-VW295ES, a true 4K projector for under $5000 with excellent color. In true Sony fashion, we didn’t even have to calibrate this one!
