Below we have three charts outlining all the projectors considered in this year’s report, divided into three categories:
- K-12 Classroom projectors (Standard)
- Higher Education projectors – suitable for higher ed large classrooms, K-12 auditoriums (Larger venue)
- High-End, Specialty Large Venue– Includes extremely bright projectors suitable for larger auditoriums largest lecture halls, museums. Also, large and largest houses of worship (i.e. mega-churches). Since most churches, temples, mosques, etc do have classes, most qualify as being part of the education market, by many manufacturers. Also in this group are specialty signage and related application projectors such as Epson's Lightscene which is geared for museums and more does edge blending and projection mapping,
We also separately show previous winners, that are still shipping. You should also consider those as top choices, especially now that projectors are more likely to be current models for 2-4 years, rather than 1-3 years. Instead of more new models, we see more price adjustments as brighter models (or those having a new feature or two) tend to replace less bright ones at the same price point, driving down the cost each year, both for brightness, and features.
We wish to thank Epson America for sponsoring this year’s Best Classroom Projectors report.
On the following pages, we have overviews of each projector, also grouped by these three categories.
