InFocus IN83 Home Theater Projector: Warranty

The InFocus IN83 projector comes with a two years, parts and labor warranty, which is average for 1080p home theater projectors. Besides other competing projectors with two year warranties, here are a couple of competitors with one year warranties, and several with three year warranties.

Some projectors, however, also offer overnight or two day replacement or loaner programs, an added advantage, although, since your IN83 is supposed to be coming from your local dealer, in theory, they may be able to provide a loaner, should yours be serviced. Considering that, manufacturer loaner, or replacement programs, are less important.

Of the competition with the best warranties, the best is the Epson Pro Cinema 1080 UB, with 3 years, and 3 years of replacement program.

Still, the InFocus IN83 warranty is a good one! I always urge buyers to have at least two years of coverage, recommending 3rd party warranties for those projectors that come with only one year, and don't sell extended warranties.

InFocus, I should note, provides a 6 month lamp warranty, longer than the typical 3 month coverage most manufacturers provide, but then, there are even one or two projectors that offer 1 year on the lamp
