The HB Opto HBP503D projector comes with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Most pico and pocket projectors tend to have either 90 day warranties or one year. None of the pico or pocket projectors we've reviewed offer more, but there is one competing projector, theViewsonic PLED-500 that does beat it in warranty. It's still within the brightness range of the brightest pocket projectors but it's way to big and heavy (2.4 pounds), to be a pocket projector, and competitively, it has no battery pack capability, but it does come with a 3 year warranty. (It's more expensive as well.)
Bottom line, for anything this small and light 1 year seems to be about right, although I expect there might be a couple 2 year warranties out there when you consider the large number of pico and pocket projector manufacturers. We see an amazing selection at trade shows, but few manage to really establish themselves in the US with proper distribution and warranty handling. HB Opto is a lesser known brand, so one of the first things I inquired about was their distribution and support, before agreeing to review this projector.
