The Epson Pro Cinema 6030 UB Projector

The brand new Epson Pro Cinema 6030 UB is one of two similar new home entertainment projectors just launched by Epson. This one, which we are only taking a "quick look" at (rather than a full review, like its sibling the Home Cinema 5030 UB) is nearly identical to its fully-reviewed sibling, save for a few key differences and a $900-steeper price tag.

First, the Pro Cinema 6030UB is available only through authorized local dealers. The $3499 price tag also gets you:

• A black, rather than white, finish
• Support for an anamorphic lens
• Additional lamp
• Ceiling mount
• A third year of warranty & rapid replacement
• Access to authorized and trained dealers who can help with calibration

The following highlights list was extracted from the full review of the Home Cinema 5030UB, which is nearly identical to the Pro Cinema 6030UB:

• Multiple 2D and 3D modes with best in class brightness in both 2D and 3D
• THX mode for good looking color, right out of the box (there's a 3D THX mode too)
