Post-Calibration

Calibration settings for User 1:
Gain (100) R = 100
G = 100
B = 102
Offset (256) R = 256
G = 256
B = 259

Calibration of User 1, Cinema Reference mode, Gamma on 2.2.  All other settings as shown on first page.

Lumen Output at 100 IRE: 1581 @ 6286

Calibrated Color Temp over IRE Range
20 IRE = 6525
30 IRE = 6454
40 IRE = 6430
50 IRE = 6458
60 IRE = 6428
70 IRE = 6426
80 IRE = 6451
90 IRE = 6286
100 IRE = 6499
 Average gamma = 2.19

NOTE:  There’s no reason to do a Quick Cal of the brightest mode (Dynamic) as it’s less than 10% brighter than the calibrated mode.  Reducing its excessive green just bring the lumen output down to Cinema or Standard modes.

Grayscale Calibration Notes

Grayscale calibrated very well, with a Delta E of less than 1.5 from 20 to 90 IRE and rising only to 2.8 at 100 IRE.  The RGB balance was also very good and consistent throughout the IRE range.  Adjusting Gain has some effect on the full IRE range, but it was still necessary to boost the Blue offset as well.  Even though the color temp is pretty good at 100 IRE by default, Cinema, User and Standard all have a bit too much red and too little blue.  As a result, the lumen output actually rose slightly after calibration.

Gamma was very good as well.  Set at 2.2, the gamma graph is very consistent with an average of 2.19.
